Hi Guys;

Thanks for the video. 20 mil is a good goal for the stem cell collection. I harvested 17 mil and half were used for the STC. Timing depends on your health; from collection to transplant took me seven weeks. I got pneumonia, which slowed things down. You should be all done and feeling better by the time the baby arrives!

Tim's transplant went kinda like this. One day running around the hospital being tested to be sure he was healthy enough to have the transplant.(heart test(MUGA scan),lung function and a few others)The last day of July, hickman catheter installed by probably the prettiest vascular surgeon you ever saw.Next day, started 4 day drip of CDEP outpatient with visiting nurse hooking new bags up everyday and Tim walking around with a backpack full of chemo and hydration. Then a week or so of neupogen shots.Then he spent 5 days collecting cells. 8/13 to 8/17. This varies for each patient and then a week or so to recover and on to transplant. This whole process leading up to transplant could easily be done in 3 or 4 weeks if you do not do this in the middle of the summer like we did(vacations doncha know) and Tim would have been in for transplant sooner but one of our two transplant docs was pregnant and
out of work a lot leaving the other one to cover and we pushed it one more week so he could be home for Livvy's first day of school. If they don't mobilize with CDEP, that saves you 4 days. A year later, you'll have a hard time even remembering this whole whirlwind.

love you guys. my favorite part was when you announce that you stopped touching your face and then cassie wipes her nose a few times with her hand.

BTW, after Ryan had that line in, I consider myself an expert on the care of such things. Sounds like Phil may be getting something similar based on what I read above, so I'm happy to come out and share some about it. Gonna try to bring you a meal this week.

this is fantastic. i don't know why tlc has not picked this up, you both are way funnier (and better looking) than jon and kate.
praying cycle 4 is the most uneventful yet and that cassie survives phil on steroids. -Amy W.

Hey Phil,

We have been praying for you and your family at my men's group Wild At Heart for weeks now. Great idea on the videoblog - I am totally a video kind of guy, not a good reader - so kudos! I will totally buy some bracelets! Would it be easier to buy them at church sometime to save on shipping costs?

You two make me smile, you are so positive and funny. I'm glad the house arrest is working, but we miss having Phil around at work. Good luck with the next round.

It is so fun to see you guys in living talking color. Watching Cassie's face throughout this was priceless!

Oh and Cassie, we DO have the same kitchen and appliances, only your countertops are way nicer.

I'm loving the return of the video blogs, folks! Keep 'em coming! I just got a digital camera from mom and dad for X-mas so I'm gonna try and send you pics of me in my CANCER KICKER bracelet, "dominating" from different places in the Bay Area.
